I miss read mine yesterday mine are stamped 1500 grams. I stuck them on the scales to confirm and it read 1497 good enough for me.

Does your one have the b- fast weight system in the stock and the slots in the barrel for the barrel weights ?

No it doesn't. But to be honest it's right on the pins balance wise , so probably wouldn't mess too much.seems like they made the barrel lighter then gave some weights to bring it back where it should be any way. Marketing at its best .[/quote

Just looked up her and it has the balance weights in the stock.

There's someone for every gun out there. Even a blind pig finds a truffle once in a while, is go for the most neutral gun I could find then add weights or alter the weights that's fitted to balance the gun where you want. Going with a very barrel heavy gun to start with will make it heavier still by time it's balanced for most people's likes on or just in front of the hinge pin.

The new DTs are balanced smack on the hinge pin as standard same as the older ones. But the. Barrels are nearly 6oz lighter. Buy having the option to make the gun heavier or slightly shift the point of balance I feel is a god send.

I have added 50 grams to my barrels which has shifted the point of balance 10mm forward of hinge but because of where I hold the gun the weight now feels bang I the middle of my hands.

Don't forget mine is a trap gun a totally different beast to yours.

All beretta have done is cater for the moaners as the only complaint of any substance that came back was the barrels were on the heavy side on earlier models So in an attempt to please They have built the newer ones a bit lighter. But gave the option for the people that liked it heavy in the first place to ADD some back on.

I would agree it is clever marketing. It's called listening to your customers 👍

I would have to say that owning one of the earlier DT11's despite being balanced at the factory it did feel noticably muzzle heavy. It is without doubt a well designed and engineered piece of kit that is built to last. I personally like the DT11 and think that it compares very favourably with it's predecessor, the DT10. I know that they are expensive to buy but they are excellent value for money when you see the price of a new Perazzi or Krieghoff.

Couldn't agree more with the above. I can't really speak for the older sporters as I have limited experience with them. Yes I've shot them enough but not in great volumes. But the 32" MC did have a very big gun feel to them. Plus I'm a trap shooter.

However speaking from a trap shooting point of view there were and still are a lot of people who love the weight of them and bought them purely for that reason. There great for DTL. But a bit to heavy for OT. ABT. UT. IMO As once you get those barrels moving there quite hard to stop. But then again if you man enough to use one ( I'm not 😂) there excellent

It's horses for courses and the same can be said for any gun. And often is.

I don't know about the sporter side From experiance of dhooting both the DT11 and comparing to the DT10 i've owned (ultimately returning to the MX8) the DT11 trap is a much better gun for OT UT and ABT. Yes it's heavy but the handling just has that something thats missing in the DT10.

I owned one of the last 32" DT10 Sporters and thought that it was a cracking gun to own and shoot. I sold the gun and have regretted thid decision ever since. The only Sporter that has surpassed it is the DT11. When you get your head round the fact that it handles completely differently from what you have used before, you begin to appreciate just how good it is. I think too many shooters were too quick to criticise and condemn the DT11 whithout giving themselves time to get used to this thoroughbred. The DT11 has been tweaked since i bought mine in late 2014 but there is not a gun out there that I would prefer to shoot.
