Walker570
Yep, I have a small collection of tushes, 'ivories'. They are what is left of the long tusks that the ancestors of red deer had millions of years ago. VERY collectable on the Continent, particularly Germany where you can special mounts for them as 'jewellery'. I am led to understand they are ivory. sako751sg
Not sure about now but the tusks were taken out and i think the uncle used to get a fiver for a set which was a decent bonus back in those days. As above says, the continentals were usually the buyers. Ive tried to keep all mine but usually forget.
JDog
I took the ivories out of the first few red deer I shot. They meant something to me at the time. Sadly they are now lost.
