diamond cutting disc -difference

Only thing I can think of, off the top of my head is that the marble blade won't have as much diamond in the cutting edge as marble is a lot softer than granite.

So you could probably use a granite blade for marble but you'd struggle with a marble blade in granite.

That said I take no responsibility for what you do with either blade or how you use the above opinion.

Phew.

Are you talking hand held 4.5" grinder or larger water cooled cutting gear.

Let me know what you are trying to achieve/ work on and I can possible help with advise, as clakk says I work with marble & granite.

300mm disc.

I have and use granite disc alot...on concrete, slabs, blocks etc.. I ordered up a new disc but got sent a marble cutting one by mistake and was just interested to find out what the difference is in the them

Our granite blades tend to be slightly smaller about 400/450mm same thickness as marble 4.5/5mm but smaller gaps between teeth, these are water cooled.

if you use our marble blades for granite they wear quicker and soon loose thier edge.

For dry minimal cuts on small grinders just use good quality diamond blades.

i would change them if you have the option, sand and cement slabs not a problem, but granite compossite like curb stones and pavement slabs are different.

Hope this helps.
