welsh1
Thanks for explaining it. Can private companies be High Court enforcers or are all HC Bailiffs employed by the court? I obviously didn't explain it well lol, Private companies such as The Sheriffs office are the companies that Sheriffs form, and Sheriffs in this case are not the same as Sheriffs in Scotland, the Sheriffs in England and Wales are appointed by the Lord Chancellor, and are individuals authorised to execute High court writs. So High court bailiffs are individuals who work for the Sheriff that is named on the Writ, and as such do not work for the courts.A Sheriff must answer for any misdoings that the bailiff acting for him performs, and this is usually to a Master in the High Court. If any private company says they execute high court writs you can ask them who their Sheriff or Sheriffs are. There is a register of all Sheriffs, the one i worked for is Peter Noble Watt,a true gentleman and one of the nicest people i have had the pleasure to meet in my time on this planet.
