Wingman
Hi All I fancy getting into a bit of skeet shooting not having done it for a while. Does anyone know of any clay grounds in Bucks (near Ayelsbury) where you can turn up and shoot ES? I know Churchill's do it but its all a bit of a faff with the caddy which I assume they make you have like they do for sporting? Any recommendations appreciated. buze
Well, theres A.C Sporting (a bit of stretch I realize!) who now have a refurbished skeet pad (Well, technically, "Sporting Skeet") but you also need a caddy -- altho if you are by yourself (wednesday and friday preferred), you can do pretty much whatever you want on the pad, in terms of target selection. Also, it's cheap, WAY cheaper than EC, AGL, etc...
PhilR
There used to be a skeet ground near Hemel Hempstead called Cupid Green gun club. Not sure if it is still in existence.

I agree, I'm a member at churchill, and you don't learn anything there. it's good for a blast, but not for serious practice.
ehb102
AC sporting targets is probably your next closest but if you go a bit further you can get to Northampton, which is a very good skeet ground with four ranges. You have someone to button for you but that is because they are old school not because they insist on caddies. Sporting Targets at Riseley (not AC Sporting Targets) has a range that really is pay and play, but it's not a brilliant skeet range, just okay.
