Walker570 Posted July 20, 2017 Report Share Posted July 20, 2017 Contact the Bat Charity ...Bat Association I think it is, they will advise and in fact I believe they do evening instructional walks so you can identify different species. My wife called me the other week and said she had a bat in the kitchen sink and sure enough there was a pipistrelle. I have seen detectors from under 50 quid up to serious pro kit.Frankly for simple enthusiast needs loom no further than the Magenta range of products. Pick what suits you.I recommend nhbs.com for all this sort of kit.Have fun, and consider joining a local group as yo u can see and learn tons.
