Hi All

I have inherited an AYA Yeoman off my uncle and the chokes are marked 17.4-18.4 and 17.9-18.4 how would this translate to standard chokes? I have tried looking on the web but got a bit confused so though that someone on here would have a better idea than me.

Cheers Neil

1/2 and Full, but apart from measuring the chokes (and the bores) there's no other way of knowing if that's still valid; ie, have they been opened up.

18 .4 = .724"

17.4 = .685"

17.9 = .705"

724 - 705 = 019 = 1/2

724 - 685 = 039 = Full

Nominal figures are 020 and 040 - close enough.

These choke questions do my head in... :lol:

am i right in saying the degree choke can only be determined once the true bore of the barrell is established.....and the true bore is always stamped on the underside of the barrel...but must be verified incase it has been lapped or reamed out ........?
