srspower
If you're willing to jump through the extra hoops and leave the gun at the range when you go home you can shoot 'proper' handguns in this country at Section 7.3 clubs. http://www.hbsa-uk.org/HBSA-what-we-do/heritage-pistol-section-7-1-7-3 Out of reach for most people. I was lucky enough to get offered a slot at a club and the guy offered to sell me a pistol from his collection, I was interested by his Luger P08's but it's a LOT of hassle. For most people they won't get a club slot and then you have to pay to keep your gun there and the guns themselves aren't usually cheap. The luger I was offered was £1K,

When he told me about it I told him how he could get it on his ticket, which he did shortly before the shootings at Dunblane!

Scully
Can you not reload rather than buy factory ammo? I used to make soft target loads through mine mostly, and scored my first ever 10 in the black with my Model 29.
