Richie10
Finally got to use my reloads and they were outstanding, killing power at distance is incredible. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive it from the US? Looking to reload some more for the 10g, however would be interested what kind of results people are getting from 12g loads. Cheers
Guest cookoff013
I tested some PowerShot in the test barrel. Funny stuff. What recipe you using?
Richie10
I loaded them last year, 1 5/8 oz in the 10. Can't remember the amount of Alliant steel I used, will check later.
Guest cookoff013
I mainly load 12 and its really interesting how these heavyweight / heavy density loads respond upon firing. My next projects will be duplex this stuff with steel shot, use the steel as a buffer/ filler. Depends on what speed really. Needs a lot of energy to get it moving. Cheers Pleased your happy with the load 👍I personally load 12ga 3" 42grm buffered if the shot is put in the right place it is far far better than the old Original Winchester Super Double X 1-7/8oz lead 😮

Saw the data for that, sounds interesting but didn't have the components at the time.

I am sure being a very good shot helps no end!
Smiler23
What sort of range does this stuff kill at?
6.5x55SE
What sort of range does this stuff kill at?In the right hands better than original winchester 1-7/8oz lead. But as previously stated it's not a miracle shot it still needs putting up front of what your shooting at. Imho it's far better than Lead patterns tight and kills with authority 👍
Smiler23
Sounds good, be wasted on me tho. The steel I use is more than enough to do the job for my capabilities. What sort of £££ is this stuff?
motty
It should only take a couple of weeks to come from America. I shoot 1 5/8 oz in the 12. I have killed pinks that some would say I should not have raised the gun to. I normally load 2 oz in the 10. I haven't experimented much with the hw18 (size 7.5) I have, but it is too expensive to use, really. It totally annihilated some geese I killed with it last season. Logic says it shouldn't work as good as it does.
Smiler23
What size shot are you using ? Could it be put through 8 bore?
6.5x55SE
What size shot are you using ? Could it be put through 8 bore? 3's or 2's. Expensive to use in a 8ga but yes just use Hevi-shot load data
