Shooting .As we were shooting a stoat appeared in front of us.As our squad were shooting it stood up watching us from about 40 feet away .Was there As we moved on. Not seen one for years . You may well be glad no one shot it, and indeed they are interesting to see - however they are highly destructive taking eggs, chicks, small mammals etc. Like foxes, they are inclined to kill in quantities far larger than they will eat if the opportunity arises.
