The only experience I had was shooting with someone who had one on a .243(?) either way it was the most ineffective moderator I have heard.

I was sat in seat as two friends stalked a wood through behind me, as I heard a successful sounding shot, I congratulated the friend with the unmoderated 6.5 when they emerged.

He pointed out it was the other gun (with the Lawrence mod) that fired the shot :|

Almost £600 for a moderator seems insane to me. Yes I know that they are made from Titanium and will last forever (well almost) but how many shots are you going to put through it over the next 10 years or so that a Wildcat wouldn't do just as well, and for almost a third of the price.

I have a T8 that has sat on my Tikka T3 for the last 8 years and another one on the .308 that went on 3 years ago, with a Wildcat on the .223. Both the T8s are sprayed with WD40 and dried out fully, whilst the Wildcat get a strip and clean every 100 rds or so.

And now I hear that they ain't even that good!!!! :whistling:
