They're both the gayest car ever. Like if you had the money for a TT you had the money for a Lotus Elise of some caliber.

There is only one comvertable a proper man can drive and that's a honda s2000......FACT

edit: I drive a 1.3 corolla

Nah, M3 Evo - but be prepared to look like a West Ham footballer. Any Porsche but be prepared for everyone to hate you and no one let you out / in on the road.

 Wow mungler, youre hair was very long when you were a child......very girly looking!!!

Yes Bazzer, I am still a girl and a Chinese or Indian looking one, apparently <sighs>

See ths is your problem, a convertable car not initially designed to be so is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Why take the roof off a car like an M3, in Britain for christs sake. Its a waste of bloody time we don't have the weather for them. Anyone who buys a convertable version of a car that comes in a normal hard top version deserves to wrap it around a tree

And the porchse is the same practically all of the models come with a perfectly good roof bar maybe the boxster (sorry just puked a little there)

Honda s2000 has the most powerful 2ltr naturally aspirated engine in production (may have been surpassed since its release but don't think it has). That's the kind of thing that impresses a real man

My brothers are huge petrol heads so I get exposed to a lot of their culture, I have guns they have cars. From growing up with them if I was to waste money on a car like a TT (shudder) etc it would always always always be performance first and looks second. The minute you start to spend money on a car for its looks, stop and question your sexuality.

None of the above is meant as a personal attack and all is in good fun.

Have you actually driven an M3 Cab ? I had one until recently (and an elise before that) and it was an awesome car. yes it had some scuttle shake, so what ? if I wanted a track car for the road I would have bought an atom or exige (or even a Radical SR3). I wanted a family friendly (it had a HUGE boot) soft-top (addicted to softtops ever since our first Rover 214 cabriolet  ), that went like stink :)

The elise was tonnes better, but didn't take 2 car seats + wife...... no brainer. (nothing personal, I just hate people slagging off soft-top M3s without ever having owned or driven one  ).

Anyway, its all change now, family etc etc, but I do love my Touareg ;):lol:

To bring the topic back on track - the TT is the hairdressers car.

Si

  • 1 month later...

I remember seeing this thread a long time ago and thought i'd commented, in fact i'm sure i did! I must of stopped myself!

I'd just like to add that the only convertible that should EVER be considered would have to have at least a V8 under the bonnet and be the width of the average British road! ie Cadillac! <_<
