Libertyandlivelihood
Can you tell me what you think of the cz silhouette 22?? Are they a decent enough cheap rifle? what sort of price should they be second hand? Lastly, barrel length? How much to cut down if needed?? Thanks

tulkyuk
Cracking rifle for virtually no money - cant go wrong with 1 of these - comes with 16" barrel so no real need to 'chop' it and it will shoot bunnies out to pretty good ranges (ask Magman ) Paul
tulkyuk
you should also pick up a second hand 1 for for about £150 - £200 - but you might aswell buy a new 1 for £260.
P03
I've been looking for a .22 rimmy and after exhaustive research (good excuse for being on t'internet) I have decided that the CZ silhouette 16" is probably one of the best value rifles on the market.......and that's what I'm buying...........nuff said. Libertyandlivelihood
I thought these came with a 21"ish inch barrell as standard?? Seems you think they are worth buying anyway.
tulkyuk
I thought these came with a 21"ish inch barrell as standard?? Silhouette comes in either standard 21" or 16" barrels 'off the shelf' and they are already screw cut for a sound mod.

A Sick Old Man
Have a look at this link to give you an idea of prices, I have a CZ .17 HMR American with an 18" Barrel, its very good and does the job, I also have a Ruger 10/22 and if I had my time again I would have got a CZ, you can not go wrong with one. http://www.rimfiremagic.co.uk/new_firearms.html
badsworth
I have the 'Style' - but pretty much the same thing. Brilliant gun and brilliant value. Get the 16" Barrel version - just as accurate and more handy especially when shooting from a vehicle. Get the Brooks trigger kit. I bought my kit direct from Eric Brooks via his website. Including postage from the USA it cost LESS than buying it from South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies and it took about a week. My local gun dealer (Sportarm in Dorchester) fitted it for me and would not take any money for doing it! Burt said that I had helped him to learn something useful and that was worth more to him than money. Now that was good service! The gun now shoots like a dream and the trigger is really sweet. Do yourself a favour and get a new one - it won't cost much more than a secondhand one. B
