Squirrel73
Just bought a 2010 hornet 600 and wondered whether I should bother changing the oil as it’s only done 350 miles since the last service which was 12 months ago. According to the manual the oil should be changed every year regardless of miles covered. I’m tempted to change it for piece of mind but is it a waste of money? TIGHTCHOKE
Change it, then you know it is good fresh clean oil!
B&W FOX
If you change the oil you will also need to change the filter. It needs to be run on semi synthetic
Squirrel73
Thanks for the good advice,I’ll do a oil/filter change and then at least I know it’s all good.
hodge911
oil breaks down after time as well as miles . I used to change mine in my 600 thundercat every 6 months and filter every 12 months so January it got both and june just oil regardless of how many miles I done on it
