Gun Watch
Midland Gun Company £600 12 gauge Shotgun Private Seller Used - Average Condition East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire Hammer, -, -, 30" barrels Description Midland Gun Company. 12 bore. S/S hammer gun. Damascus. Nice engravings of birds in flight. Been in my family for at least 2 generations. Not been fired for at least 14 years. Dent in one barrel & chip in bottom of stock (see pictures). The damage to the stock was caused during the 1950s when my uncle was cleaning it; his pet lion cub jumped at the gun, knocking it from his hands and landing on the pub fireplace. My uncle was the landlord of The Lion! This gun is being sold by Pigeon Watch member BenBhoy. eddoakley
Nice gun but a word of advice, I believe that judging by the picture that dent would render the gun unsafe and out of proof thus being illegal to sell. Picture could be deceptive but it looks quite a serious dent. May be worth getting it checked out before selling. Edd

bruno22rf
Raising a dent like that on a Damascus barrel is going to be 50/50 chance of success - depends on the original quality of the welding/material used and faced with a likely 100 year old gun it's going to be a brave Gunsmith who attempts it .
