Need some help please if you can. I have a Fabarm semi Auto That i have had from new which i now just keep  for a back up for my Browning Gold semi Auto.

I stupidly lent it to a so called mate to go Fowling  with in the season. He wanted to try it as he was thinking of buying one as I won't sell mine .

When it came back I was Informed  it had been cleaned and normally would have stripped it and had a look but me and the wife were almost out of the door on a night out.

So i put it back in the gun cabinet as it was .I then totally after a night out forgot about it . I have just only thought about it and took it out to find the dirtiest barrel

I have ever seen. I set about cleaning it stripped it all down took out every thing got it all sparkling again apart from the barrel just above the cartridge insert and below the gas compensator

it is really dirty I have a magic bore which i soaked the barrel in remington brite bore cleaner put the magic bore on the drill  soaked the bronze brush and tried to get it out with no luck.

any Ideas? thanks in Advance Steve.

If its hard chrome lined why would you give a hoot about it being sparkling clean it wont alter how it shoots or ruin the barrel. I clean my chrome lined guns but i don't try to remove every mark, i leave any plastic marking as it never gets any worse.

Do you loose confidence after the first shot as the gun is then dirty ?  I am a stickler for stripping and cleaning my guns apart from hard chromed barrels. I found its not worth the bother getting them gleaming as it don't make a difference to them, how yours is now is all i clean mine too.

Try boiling water stood in the barrel it should clean the mark and leave them as you want.
