gavlar1200
Hi Everyone, so my girlfriend has a master side by side. We were out yesterday and perhaps halfway through the day we noticed the button to release the forend was missing. Now the gun cost us next to nothing. Is it ok to use as is or do we need to find a replacement forend or scrap it? Thanks for looking. Gav
Guest stevo
If you can open and close it ok , crack on ? I’m assuming the forend is stuck on ? if you can do the above I personally can’t see a problem with it ? I doubt it’s worth getting repaired so keep an eye on things but just enjoy , when and if it gets knackered or you don’t feel confident with it , just scrap it . Harnser
Carry on shooting it . You can proberbly poke a bit of wire or prob in the e d of the fore end to remove it if you want to . harnser
strimmer_13
Good cheap guns. Bought mine for 25 and I beat it about a lot. Triggers a bit rough tho. If the front stays on leave it as is and use it. When it falls off (if it does) just weld a skewer or some such thin rod onto whatever is remaing of the catch system. It will be ugly but will work
Gunman
A push rod from ASI will be able to be fitted with not to much problem .

gavlar1200
Thanks for your help guys. Today i got the forend off, put a small spring and a bolt into the release mechanism and it works! I have to poke an allen key down the hole, but it works ☺
