Any CZ 527 owners?

I've got a CZ 527 in 22 hornet.

I just took off a cheapy scope with 50mm objective and put on a S&B 6x42 with a 30mm tube and it looks like it is mounted very high. The mounts are CZ ones made for this gun. They are 14mm from the rail to the bottom of the ring.

When the bolt is opened it is very close to the eyepiece and I'm not sure if lower rings could be used.

Does anyone else have one of these and what mounts do you use?

Cheers.

The bolts can catch the objective bell.  The bolt handle can be replaced or ground to a better fit.  I run a 6x42 and a 3-9x36 on my two and use medium and low mounts.

I think the ones I've got are medium, so maybe low will fit. :hmm:

For low you’ll definitely have to reshape the bolt handle.

I think I'll have to put up with the scope sitting high. It's not really bad, but it's not as low as i'd like it.

Thanks for the info. :good:

I use KOZAP one piece mounts for a 56mm Nightforce on my 527 and have no problems.  14mm does seem quite high (I think that mine are closer to 9mm)

Mine looked OK with a 50mm objective scope. It just looks high with the 42mm.  I'll see if I can borrow some lower ones off a mate before I buy anything.  :good:

I had Warne QD rings from optics warehouse

they were medium and a 3-12x50 Meopta was barely cleared, the bolt has a tiny bit of wobble when working, and could just about making it past the scope withoit touching

I changed to a set of high mounts and it’s much better now

I’m thinking of changing to a Delta 2.5-15x56 so praying the high mounts will be fine for that!

Theyre not the cheapest of mounts
