hatsanmad
Hi guys I have noticed on my perm while doing the odd job for the landowner the pigeons have been going into one of the spud fields. I have seen them feeding on spuds when it's colder. Has anyone else seen this? Not many fields have been drilled by me yet due to the ground being to wet still. I'm hoping to get out and do a bit next week and I have noticed a rather good strong flight line they have been using. But what will cause them or encourage them to feed on a spud field? Old Boggy
When the spuds are well on and are being irrigated, they will often be found in the troughs drinking, particularly if there is grain or a dry crop that they`ve been feeding on nearby. This time of year though, I can only assume they have found chick weed or something similar. OB
Blackpowder
Could be feeding on rogue crop seedlings or weeds, shot plenty stuffed with old rotten potatoes in the past. Blackpowder
