I find that if i say shoot 50 rounds , then when cleaning with the tipton , patch and brush i will only need maybe half dozen patches or so for the barrel to be clean , where as with the dewey i could easily treble that

Interesting stuff guys, thanks.. What size do you cut the patches and what cleaning solution do you use?  Also does the Tipton rod come with attachments? Its flipping expensive for a fibreglass stick!

I can't argue with that but any black deposit left by the Dewey shaft is low speed and soft, it should clean out in the first scrub, not get welded to the barrel like the copper and propellant from any bullet! :good:
