I imagine it's similar to the built in MEC resizer fitted to some of their machines.......I no longer have a MEC, but recall some of the deep brass cartridge heads did not fit completely into the resizer and resulted in an unresized indentation (ring) in the brass where it met the plastic case!.......which was a problem when chambering the cartridge!.....bought a P&W, problem solved!
