gotgcoalman
Get the battery "drop tested" think halfrauds do it for nothing. Regardless of voltage it's the cca that get's the van started. healthy battery should be 12.6v + at rest. As said bad connections don't help. I have a transit so I know about this **** 😁 I also know how to weld 🙄
walshie
Took it to the garage. First thing he did was run a jump lead from the negative on the battery to the gearbox. If it had started, it would have been the earth strap and a couple of quid to fix. It didn't, so it was a new starter for £150. Still cheaper than a new car though. Dougy
Just read from the beginning and was just about to advise on what to do. But you've sorted now. I was going to suggest you get it to the top of a big hill, put it in neutral, roll it down, and watch it go. But happy to hear it's sorted now. lrm1
Check heavy leads to starter are tight, take black one off battery before doing this so there is no risk of a shorting out, and earth lead , black one from battery is tight at opposite end from battery, hope you get it sorted
