PPP
Does this do anything other than get in the way of me fitting a bipod? Can I discard it?
Scully
Does it not have a sling swivel stud on that band?

Nope.... there’s a stud on the stock but the barrel band means a bipod won’t sit flush
Scully
There should be a slot in the bipod plate through which the sling stud slots. I understand that the band isn’t flush with the stock, but when the bipod is tightened up fully to that sling swivel, is it still a problem? There must ba a solution as 10/22’s are very customisable bits of kit.

walshie
You don't need the barrel band. It doesn't do anything.

The stud is in a place where you wouldn’t fit a bipod so I’ll just gently drill the stock and epoxy a new stud in Thanks
welshwarrior
Barrel bands there for two reasons 1: looks (spoiling) 2: if touching the barrel spoiling accuracy.
