Walker570 Posted December 13, 2018 Report Share Posted December 13, 2018 So it needs to be hardwood ...oak, beech etc. I have a large horse chestnut log lying in my wood in fact there are two but I do not know what they will be like in the middle until the chain saw bites. I do need to cut them up and if you happened by then you would be welcome to have a slice .... how thick. The logs are close to 30 inches in diameter.
