Gordon R
Bobby - I understand they are built in Turkey and I have not heard one good report about them. Superficially they look okay from a distance. I am told that closer inspection reveals their flaws.
berettaman1
I was talking to one of the guys at Webley & Scott today, and I asked if it was being made by Zoli, He replied that some were and some were being made in Turkey He did seem to know a lot , considering he was in sales, he said it should retail at about £1,800. At that price I think I would rather buy a Kronos . as you have noticed the detachable trigger looks Zoli, spot on bud.

I was interested in one until I spoke to my local gunshop. They did not have a good word to say about them . Apparantly the first lot were made in Turkey and have regular faults, they thought they should retail at half the price. They were shown them by the W/S rep., who said he had no orders following his shop visits. They did say the next lot will be made in Italy, so the quality should improve. The shop and the Rep. were dissapointed that the good name of W&S will be maligned.
berettaman1
Well as I said in my previous comment, the salesperson I spoke to said some were made in Turkey,(presumably the cheaper range of O/U ) and some were made in Italia, the model I was asking about,( the badged Chronos model) he quoted me a approx figure of £1800.00 B pounds,Shame to see a famous British manafacturer no longer manafacturing !! Dont think I will bother.

Salopian
Could you please give me your thoughts on the W&S range of guns? I believe all are made in Turkey and I saw a poster on this site has a 12g semi -auto that as been back for repair numerous times. Are they unreliable? I have tried to see one at a couple of local shops but they have no stock, saying that W&S are ******** merchants "Here next week" but never any stock. At the quoted retail prices I don't think I should expect quality, maybe better off with an Escort semi?
