loopy bunny blaster
what shot size and cartridge weight do you use for fox ?
stevethevanman
shot size No.3 and bigger is considered good shot size for fox, but for maximum effectiveness it should be fired in a 36g+ cartridge so magnum loads are prefered hope this helps Steve

JohnGalway
BB's are best. Let me say that again, BB's. 36gram will do. Pattern, pattern, pattern, pattern... Now I''m bored of typing the word pattern. I used to get 64gram BB's, 117 pellets can't be wrong I've also got some 50 gram 0's (Remington magnum) should do the job. invector
I use 42g No.1 shot. Mustard!!!
magman
should not say this (incoming) but have shot more fox,s with 28 grm no6 than any other load just in the right place at the right time . but if your going out for them then 3" no 3 will do it well
leeboy
BBs or #1 in as big a load as you can handle the recoil from. BBs are defo the best but #1 are a very close second. #6 will not be humane past 18/20 yards unless you are extremely lucky. I use 3" mag 50g BBs and 42g BBs and #1 I wouldn't go lighter than 36g Leeboy
loopy bunny blaster
i'll use as heavy as i can, i dont have any problem with recoil.
hutchie the white hunter
what shot size and cartridge weight do you use for fox ? i use sg,s drop them no probs
john faul
a 36g shot of BB,S should do the trick loopy no need for heavier loads when a lighter one will do the same job
al4x
I prefer 3's and at least 36 gram, one thing to watch with the larger shot is you will get ricochets so you need to be ultra careful. SSG's in particular are a nightmare, I've shot a landrover 50 yards away and at right angles to where I was firing when the shot came off a tree. Did no damage but the guy sitting in it wasn't best pleased, though he'd seen the shot made and was more than a bit surprised at the ricochet. JohnGalway
What were you doing shooting at landrovers Al4x? I'd echo that point though, have used SG's only to pattern but they were an eye opener :( Wouldn't trust them and I doubt that they'd stop in the fox. AAA would be the biggest I'd use on fox and then only if they pattern well. BB is fine, it does the job best.
dead-eye
i would use a number 1 but make sure it is folded at the bottom and they havent just put a piece of plastic there or it will spoil the pattern
