BBs or #1 in as big a load as you can handle the recoil from. BBs are defo the best but #1 are a very close second. #6 will not be humane past 18/20 yards unless you are extremely lucky.

 

I use 3" mag 50g BBs and 42g BBs and #1 I wouldn't go lighter than 36g

I prefer 3's and at least 36 gram, one thing to watch with the larger shot is you will get ricochets so you need to be ultra careful. SSG's in particular are a nightmare, I've shot a landrover 50 yards away and at right angles to where I was firing when the shot came off a tree. Did no damage but the guy sitting in it wasn't best pleased, though he'd seen the shot made and was more than a bit surprised at the ricochet.

What were you doing shooting at landrovers Al4x? :yes:

 

I'd echo that point though, have used SG's only to pattern but they were an eye opener :( Wouldn't trust them and I doubt that they'd stop in the fox. AAA would be the biggest I'd use on fox and then only if they pattern well. BB is fine, it does the job best.
