matone
As I`ve travelled around during the last couple of weeks I`ve seen some decent numbers of pigeons feeding ! The common denominator is that they`re on wheat stubbles ,close to housing or other areas with a fair bit of human activity, such as industrial estates etc .Nothing similar seen out in the open countryside!!!! I think localised shooting pressure has taught them where not to go !!!!!

JDog
Wheat stubbles will be left unploughed or cultivated for longer as a means of black grass control if spring barley is to be the following crop. I agree that pigeons seem to be favouring wheat stubble over other food sources at the moment.
Shotguneddy
Nothing on stubbles or drilling’s or maize anywhere near me this year for some reason usually always a couple of places but nothing at all so far in the vale of white horse areas
