WeihrauchPower
Went for a walk through the local forest the other afternoon to see what's about. Plenty of rabbit and fox sign but very few to be seen, lots of roos though. I stumbled across a clearing in the bush and across from me about 150yds was a warren. Nothing going on though so i sat and waited when after 10 minutes this little fella popped out of one of the holes. He was facing away from me and sat upright. So i aimed for the nck and squeezed one off. A short somersault later and here he is. Only a little one! On my drive out as it was getting dark i saw litterally hundreds more! So i've bought a new lightforce scope mounted lamp and will head out there again on Sunday evening. Should be able to whistle up a fox or two also. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb67/bo...HallsGap032.jpg

Any similar experiences ?? No can't say i've had that! There are loads of wild dogs here though and you can shoot them some have interbred with the dingos. There is a bounty on them! You can collect $50-60 for a full skin. A lot of hard work though as they have to be perfect with tail and all. $10 for a fox scalp at the moment as well. Loads of Roos out and about (millions of the bloody things), you need a permit to shoot them though and that's on private land. You cant shoot them in the state forests, only pest animals. NO crows OR Magpies as they are protected species . Weird ey! They seem to be just as much of a nuisance here as in the U.K! B)
