ferguson_tom
Hi Everyone, I have just bought another IFOR trailer so need to buy another set of security clamps. I currently use an Bulldog Titan wheel clamp on my other one which is very secure but is a faff to put on, has anyone got any recommendations for a quality clamp but is a bit quicker and easier to fit. Thanks, Tom

Thanks, Tom before wheel locks old school back in the day father welded a large chain link to the wheel inner rim welded a chain to the body which passed through wheel link then padlocked together with a hook for the chain when not in use if you forgot you didnt get far if twin wheel wheels chained together dont matter wheel position the chain twists up and locks up Edited November 5, 2020 by Saltings
London Best
Whatever you do is only a deterrent. I once dialled 999 as I watched two caravan club members using an oxy-acetylene cutter from the back of their Transit pick-up to cut off two wheel clamps on a very big expensive caravan parked in a drive down my road. Bold as brass in broad daylight. They were caught two miles away.
ferguson_tom
Thanks chaps, the trailers are insured as I am under no disillusion that they could still be taken even with the locks. The chain to the wheel is a good idea but would it not cause huge vibration by throwing the wheel off balance. 15 hours ago, Konnie said: Have you thought of a hitch lock I fit both, just hoping to find a wheel lock that's a bit easier to use. Saltings
doesnt cause any problems re balancing /vibration often big lumps of soil stuck to a wheel for weeks and you wouldnt know
London Best
Most round here seem to park trailers without wheels now, but if”they” want it they will pick it up with a hi-ab.
