you'll find the main reason Henry is simple, people forget to take an auto saftey off when shooting.

there are obvious die-hards who say the gun must have the "safety on at all times" regardless of being m/t or charged.

safetys are not fail safe as we all know, a worn sear will let go in a hurry regardless of the "safety"

most newcomers to target, who own a field gun with auto safety, soon become niggled with the fact they were caught out a few times, this in the heat of the moment.

im sure most of us have at least once, yarded on a trigger shoe whilst trying to bring down that plump pheasant, cursing the manufacturer for the safety.

my own opinion is simple, an empty gun is safe, a broken gun is safe, a loaded gun is as safe as the guy holding it.

proceed with caution and have it checked out properly when its done, its not a hard job, just remember you are altering the manufacturers specs and warranty.
