WeihrauchPower
Idiots! There's nothing wrong with asking questions! BUT when was it decided that common sense was no longer needed! "Um! Lets just type stupid **** on forums". Rather than simply research the subject properly!. Again stupid answers! "You'll need an FAC air rifle for over 100yds"! Who'll ever get their hands on a 100ft/lbs air rifle that is needed for this kind of range (beginners that is). Too many think that by exceeding the legal limit, and getting into "FAC" power ranges, that their affective ranges are DOUBLED or even trebled! sweepy
If I knew an air rifle would kill a rabbit at this range I would not have bothered with the Fac and saved my self loads of hassle. So does this mean that you can take a fox at 100 yrads with an air rifle. How these guns have come on since I last had one
codling99
well i reckon ,if you aim about 21 ft high at 130 yds with a 12 ft lb air rifle, with bisley magnums, and actually it the fox in the eye,you should do enough damage to have time to run up and kick it to death before it runs off to suffer in agony for three weeks before dying of lead poisoning. BSA Shaun
I often hunt buffalo at 300yds with my 6ft/lb rat catcher, don't see the problem taking a rabbit at over 100yds with my rat catcher deluxe with open sights running at a mighty 8ft/lb in the rain with a 30mph crosswind. The only thing I worry about is the riccochet if I miss!
Marine1980
Does anybody know the affective range of a Spud Gun? Ive been told infinity but just thought i would check!
malkiserow
I'd favour the water pistol as it will shoot well at distances just over infinity and is considered ecofriendly
LEFTY478
I have tape guns at work which, when loaded with 50mm rolls, have an effective range of 66 metres.
dazzyboi
Someone had this cool contraption in work which was an air gun. It was basically a dome with some sort of action on it, you pulled it back and let go, it would send out this warp of air across the room, someone did it on me i could feel it about 20m away. Pretty swarve i thought. I could probably take down a few rabbits with it at 100m though....
lewis
idoits ! i would hate to be a rabbit where he lives, next he will try and shoot a rabbit at 10 yards with a anti aircraft cannon

Marine1980
How much land do you need to use one on?
Hardy
Hmm the thread is from the overclockers forum where most of the contributors spend far too much time mucking about with nifty little mods on thier pc's rather than in the real world. Some of the lengths they go to for that extra number on Sandra is pretty impressive - the liquid nitrogen cooled chip was my favourite from some years ago - but basically it comes down to being geeks (holds up hand - been there, done that & still a member of the forum I think). The closest most get to handling firearms is Halo 3 - or whatever the latest shootem up is (we only have swords & bows & stuff in EQ ) - any wonder that they are a little out of touch with reality!!
