Cranfield
Can anyone recommend a rechargeable lamp (about 1-2 million candle power), that is not just a spotlight ? I don't want it for lamping, but I do want to see things at a reasonable distance. Are the ones on eBay any good ?
tulkyuk
the ones in Home base are pretty good - you can get 3 or 4 different canddle power ratings- not bad price wise either.

steve_b_wales
ARGOS have some good lamps around the £20 mark. Battery lasts a long time and can be recharged.
Hunter
Donttttt by a cheap one! They are bright and good for a week or two, then the battery fades out. The lamp is fine in cheap lamps, but the battery needs to be good. Go for a decent 'lamping' lamp such as a LightForce, and get the external power pack. Will give you plenty of light, and last a very long time unlike cheapie disposable ones. I speak from knowledge when I say 'Its cheaper to buy good expensive kit then buy cheap stuff twice... or more' I know they are more like spotlights, but im sure you can find an adjustable beam one too somewhere. LightForce lamps have variable power which is handy too. Have a look here if its any use http://www.deben.com/lights_lamping/overvi...CFQnklAod1XPVCA I think this is a good one? http://www.deben.com/lights_lamping/tracer_game_keeper.php
