dogone
Decathalon sports just announced they are opening a store in Calgary,Canada. There is a huge Bass Pro shop and several independents that sell firearms. It is close to the rocky mtns. So a lot of outdoor stuff going on. What type of store do they have in France? High end, discount or brand name?
enfieldspares
Mostly Chinese made budget stuff. Some under the Verney-Carron label. Hardwearing but think of the hunting and shooting clothing as Walmart quality level.

They do mostly own-brand along the 'good, better, best' principle - similar to what Harbor Freight in the US is trying to do with their own-brand tools (and I assume Canadian Tyre but have never made to one). There is the odd bit of Brand-name stuff thrown in. I quite like the bang-for-buck you get with some of the 'better' range, and the trousers (pants to you North Americans) are good value and hold up well, but if they do rip, you're out 20 bucks. I have a wet weather jacket I paid €60 for, and it's been my go to walking the dog jacket as well as out in all weathers. Bit 'noisy' for night time ventures after foxes or rabbits though! Ok if I was going on some multi-day trip-of-a-lifetime hunt, then I'd probably spend more money, but for what I do - never more than 30mins hike from my vehicle, it's fine. Guessing the Canadian outdoor/sports clothing market is pretty crowded already, interesting that they're throwing themselves into it. 19 minutes ago, oldypigeonpopper said: now withdrawn in uk stores Incorrect. Actually, cant speak for the stores, but it's still available on their website under 'country sports'. I usually only go into the stores on work trips to Germany.
