Dunkield
I think I'll have to give you guys a harder one. What bird is sitting in the tree? Species and sex, please. Tough one, ok complete guess - Hoopoe? Although looking at it more closely there isn't any red that I can see.

Sten Ch
And here when retrieved by my cocker: That Cockers a bloody good climber then? Well, I jumped the Finnish Spitz that found the Caper, flushed it into the tree and barked under it and the .22WRM that brought the Caper down after an exiting stalk. Here is the spitz and his prey. Chard
Don't think I'd be much good at deer-stalking I could hardly find any of them, except the two in the middle of the field (there were 3 in that field) And I'm supposed to have very good eyesight (except for reading) (And locating deer) Edited September 30, 2007 by henry d :)

Suffolk shooter
. . . continues Is there four hinds running up the right handside of that rocky outcrop? SS
stirky
Slightly above and slightly left of centre of photo. could be a stag laying doon.
Dunkield
There are indeed 3 hinds about to run run round behind the rock. There was a stag too he is already behind the rock, in fact he got up first and scared the hinds away. It's a bit clearer in the original photo but takes the edge of the quality. It was one of those days we saw over 150 hinds, and about 30 stags including the biggest royal I have even seen - I didn't get a picture but I will never forget the sight of him standing on the horizon looking down his nose at us
