Shoot Advisory Visit ( AV ) Who to use BASC or Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust

I have been tasked with booking a shoot advisory visit.

Has anyone used BASC or the GWCT for this purpose and if so were you satisfied.

Both are about £550 for the visit ( half day ) and the report.

Haven’t ever booked a shoot advisory visit. But dealing with both organisation in different regards I would say the GWTC will be far far better than BASC.

Don't you know a local big shoot game keeper ??  For a lot less I am sure he could do the same job if not better.  That just seems to me to be a rip off and like Agri Advisors they are often failed at the job anyway.  I'm just a synical old ###t but seldom wrong.

£550 for half a day!!  What are you expecting them to tell you that you don't know between you?  If you are doing it because of having a bad season many have due to the ridiculously mild weather.

What advice is it you are looking for ?

We toyed with the idea a few years ago - but so much of its common sense
