though my job here in Canada is great and i wouldnt swap it for anything else, i do miss driving, i drove the UK and Europe tractor/trailer for many years, loved it, many horrors, many memories, many friends, many countries, not that many tickets either, though driving in London last month, i would not relish the idea of picking my way through traffic now to the old smithfield/ spittlefields markets as i did many times, rush hour here is trying to read the plate on the truck in front thats 1/4 mile away :lol::lol: as you can see below there is a little more room here. :( :lol:

Alberta = 255,541 sq miles population 3,473,984

England = 50,352 Population 60,776,238

My previous job of going all over the country setting to work new installations of datacomms was probably my best for money and interest, but probably working on HM Ships doing the electrics and radar was the most fun.

Ideal job, nice farm in Ireland turning over a steady profit, would be great.

My best one has to be my current job... Security Release Manager.

Ok, the hours are dodgy thanks to different timezones, but the pay is good and if I keep doing well, I keep getting paid and, if I am lucky, promoted. A mate of mine at the same company reckons his jb is just a bribe to keep him in wakeboarding.

SimonP has it easy. Same company, but he gets to go to Vegas and Orlando when he gets the call. I've managed Florida once and that's it. mind you, we did run up a serious bar bill the five days we were there.

I actually had more fun when I was working the roads as a highways inspector, but the pay was a lot worse.

Dream job? Fighter pilot for Switzerland.

There are certain jobs people don't "want" as much as fall into. QS is one, tax official is another. Monkey spanker is another :lol:

PIN,

You are getting confused me old mate,

A QS, tax official and monkey spanker are the same job.

Sorry SS but you know how I feel about QS's professionally not personally :lol:

I look after/coordinate the release of security fixes and bulletins for the company I work at. It means I get to spend a lot of time talking to at least three other time zones, which is fun, but means my hours are a little.... strange. Which is why I am going home today at about 3:30pm. I did ten and a half hours yeasterday and I think that's my week done really.

I used to work at the old county labs in Gt. Blakenham (it was then called Babtie) doing CVI and Chart and stuff. It was great. Got to see pretty much every road in Suffolk and West Berks. The time I did in Slough is time I'd rather forget though.
