West Indies v England

There was a time when The West Indies played the finest cricket in the world. From Gary Sobers, Rohan Kanhai, Clive Lloyd, Andy Roberts, Joel Garner, Colin Croft, Wayne Daniels, Michael Holding, Viv Richards and more - they were a pleasure to watch. Never dull - always flamboyant.

If anyone is able and Stokes is still there come the second session, I'd tune in. Right now he's only on 28 off 59 so not exactly rapid. Sorry 32 off 60, so not exactly lightening, sorry 38 off 61 so...yeah I think he's warming up...

The shots he's played have been all round the ground and with a lot of power! He's driving imperiously on the up, playing over the top and has brought out the reverse sweep for four. But he's blocked and defended really well and looks happy to do so.

That might change in the second session; I think he's eyeing up something either big, or explosive, or long. Or all three. England very well set...

Come now. Let's not bickerrr and argooo over 'hoo bored 'hooo...

The game is set up A couple of cheap ones this morning and England could force something. This pitch isn't going to do us any favours, but we're well ahead of the game, there's time to play with and the odd ball has gripped and spun, so you never know...

Certainly a good test for the new attack ... although I'd feel more confident with Anderson, Broad and Wood limbering up.

Aye you're not wrong. If anything, those two will always give you control. They can create pressure with their economy. They just don't give freebies, unlike Woakes

Not doing too well are they and giving Woakes the new ball, I don't get it.  We look absolutely toothless.  13 wickets in 3 days!  If it was a 10 day match we might get a result, a total yawn fest.
