BUCKSHOT1
Problem with buzzards attacking and killing poults in pens , do flying kites work or are there any other ideas .
Walker570
Not a lot you can do. We hung scarecrow dummies from branches which seemed to work for a while but you need to move them about. Buzzards are smart cookies. Hang life size dummoes so they move in the breeze. Static ones are not so good. Hope this helps with a difficult problem. jall25
Try radios in the pens Park the shoot truck by the pen and move daily Get some straw and branches and make hides Plant brambles over pallets for next year once the birds have left the pen
wymberley
I've never tried this or even seen it done here, but something I saw in Jersey some years ago and it worked for gulls. If memory serves, I've also seen it on a smaller scale for ornamental fish ponds - I suppose it really depends on the size of your pens. An overhead lattice work of fishing line might work perhaps. Cheap and quick to remove when done with.
