Well after I cancelled my order for an Alpex due to non existent delivery from the rubbish courier DPD, ( the seller was great and not to blame ), I have reordered it with a company who does Royal Mail, ( haven't got a lot of faith in them either but here's hoping ).

So with the Alpex reviews of great in low light thought I'd try a 940.

Hi again, I am rubbish at making decisions. I've been looking at the b and c models at about £50 ish. Then I seen the 3 in one model which would be covering everything at the turn of a switch but at £100. Probably will just go for a 940 on its own though.

I zeroed the Alpex but haven't actually been out in the field yet. Too cold at the moment.  I think now it's in my head I'll have to get a 940 out of curiosity.

To be honest, the Photon XT has been spot on, but I'm sure the Alpex will be a better picture.
