Essexsussex
Hi all I have seen some folk on here have Sportsman shotguns - we have just bought one for my son, but the safety doesn’t seem to work. or it does, but it only blocks the trigger once fired (not helpful). I think it is how the bolt is set up. does anyone here have one they could send some photos of their bolt over to me? Or have any ideas or had a similar problem. it’s not the same as the single shot bolt - they work differently. thanks in advance (and to anyone from stalking directory who has already chipped in to help). TIGHTCHOKE
First thing would be to ring the place you've just bought it from.

I’m trying to puzzle it out without a trip to the shop, it’s become quite an interesting thing to figure out. But they have agreed to look at it and give me my money back if they can’t figure it out. Gunman
Cant help with the problem . These were always a bit temperamental , Webley stopped making these because of ,among other problems with feeding and that some one in the early 70's had dropped one butt first , it had gone off and they were killed .I can not remember the exact circumstances but after that they were withdrawn from sale and many dealers would not sell the any more . Essexsussex
Brilliant - thanks Gunman. Maybe I won’t fight them if they offer to take it back instead of fixing it!
royden
I cant remove the bolt from my gun without it being in the cocked position and your bolt is in a fired position. Maybe if you cocked the bolt ( the two pins in alignment with each other at the top of your picture) then put it back in the gun that may help. Thanks Royden this is the sort of thing that I think is the problem (and the very helpful Enfieldspares also suggested this, thank you ES) sadly it didn’t work! So back to the shop. I’ll post the answer when I have one in case it helps anyone else in future.
enfieldspares
I think, with regret, that back to the shop is the best way to resolve the matter. There are also Spanish three shot bolt action .410" shotguns so all is not lost as these also come up from time to time. Here's one so that you know what to look for. I've also had one of those. But I'd search NORICA maybe as I've no idea of "Noberto"! https://www.gunwatch.co.uk/guns/8684-Norberto-Spanish-3-inch-for-sale Edited January 19, 2023 by enfieldspares
