Dave at kelton
So, I am considering one of these either ou or SxS. I have been using a left handed Benelli super black eagle for the last seven seasons. Having second thoughts for various reasons, not least a single gun for the majority of my shooting so not chopping and changing. These appeal because: they aren’t cammo have 3.5” chambers i have two small bore Yildiz that seem pretty good guns What experience do any of you have of them and how do they cope with heavier 3.5” loads? Thanks

Thanks You will get the usual negative guff from people who have not used one im sure But I have owned one for a few years . I seriously regret selling my sxs yildiz 3.5" 12 bore. Handsome guns .Light enough but also comfortable to shoot with any round. Yes there is more recoil with 3.5 cartridges.Thats a common sense predictable fact but its perfectly managable. They shoot well and drop geese with lead and with steel. I found as most do nowadays that 3" patterns better and of course gives less recoil but it was good to have the option of lobbing a 3.5 in. If you find one going cheap --grab it--thats my advice. gal69
I have the OU, great quality for the money. I have put 3.5" through it with no issues.
PeterHenry
There's also the Browning Special Waterfowl - I can vouch for the 425 version myself. Heavy, but an excellent gun, and it's possible to pick them up for reasonable prices second hand.
