Even clay pigeon cartridges are seeing this fast trend. I tried some Fiocchi Lite Speed (the fibre wad version) in my son's gun a side by side Gunmark Viscount weighing about 6lbs 12ozs. It is the only time, with any gun, I have ever hit the back of the front trigger with the front of my trigger finger when firing the second barrel with the rear trigger. https://www.clay-shooting.com/reviews/fiocchi-litespeed-cartridge-review-with-richard-atkins/ Not too surprising perhaps. Must say that I've had to take a flyer. These cartridges are 70mm with not a lot of shot so there'll be a fair length of wad and being quick, some powder. Have guesstimated 45gr for the wad and 20gr for the powder and have used the mid length barrel factor for the propellant velocity. If you're interested and I'm out of order with the wad/powder weights and you still have the odd Litespeed, I'm happy to correct the figures given those weights. I've used the figures from Richard Atkins' link which reflect that the fibre wadded shot is a tad undersize so if you would like a correction you could check on that as well Recoil Momentum = 12.25 Ns Recoil Velocity = 14.75 ft/sec Recoil Energy = 22 ftlbs

Thank you. I fired them all off, between my son and myself, and damn glad not to have to repeat it as I only bought the one box to try. And they were the fibre wad ones as that ground sells and allows only fibre wad. I am glad that the weights from the Hull Three Crowns I cut down for you were useful.
