Pheasants and duck in Scotland

Just back from a great couple of days after ducks (driven and flighting over ponds) and pheasants (driven and rough shooting) at Claencefield on the Solway Firth. I went goose shooting over the foreshore two mornings (bloody cold). Loads of bloody barnacles but very few pinks and they flew high after some cowboys were taking 100 yard shots at them further own he estuary. But thousands of barnacles went over at about 50 feet -amazin sight.

Then two days on driven pheasants, rough shoots and duck ponds around Castle Douglas and Lockerbie. Ended up with 11 pheasants and four pintails - thee of them over a high moorland pond just after dusk - fantastic shooting with four other guys (Trevor, Roger and John from Ireland) and Harry from Scotland. Great guide in Davy Campbell and fantastic food from from his wife Joyce.

This is the bag after rough shooting and some driven duck on Tuesday. I'm the fat bearded ******* in the hat!
