30-6
I have some expensive neoprene wellies for Winter and a cheapy £10 pair for not cold , but wet muddy days out, morning dew on grass type of situation. I also have a pair of boots for dry weather. The cheapy £10 pair have very poor grip on wet grass on sloping fields, or going say down into a ditch. I am forever slipping using them, and on two occasions I have slipped landing on my backside heard a " crack " and fractured my spine. So is there such a pair of wellies or half type wellies that are sort of studded for grip, but could be worn on soft ( grass ) and hard ( farmyards ) surfaces ? 30-6
I just found studs which you screw into existing wellies. Anyone tried these ?
Dougy
I had a pair of Royal Hunters years ago they were treacherous in rivers on stony bottoms, concrete any hard floor and struck cold faster than jack frost could. On grass and wet fields they were OK but needless to say they didint get much wear, and i think they leaked. Apart from that. my go to wellies are a pair of Aigle Pacors ISO2, no complaints apart from having boots the size of Elephants feet walking on sticky fields. mattsccm
Maybe get some summer wellies with the same soles as your good ones. Studs do really have their limitations as mentioned. Chainsaw wellies can have studs fitted. Look for a seller of them.A stihl dealer maybe.
