NoBodyImportant
I bought this trailer when I was 18. It was my first home and where my wife and I lived when we first got married. It’s was a rental for years but after the last renters moved out it’s set empty. So over the holidays I gutted it to the studs and started putting it back together. New everything from the windows to the drywall. But it’s going to be a place for my family to stay when they are in town. It’s a 14x80ft 3bed 2 bath. Fully handicap accessible even a handicap walk in bathtub for my mom. My dad and I set the kitchen and got most of the floors finished. It’s been a fun project. I really have gotten into the renovation thing. The is my 4th renovation it the last two years and it’s been a very rewarding hobby. I’m going through all my properties as I have free time from work. Slowly working towards my skill set to build a house from the ground up.

Gordon R
NoBodyImportant - I always enjoy your posts. Thought provoking and interesting. Given what I have seen / read so far, I am confident that you will one day realise your ambition of building a house from scratch.

I trying to figure out the direction I want to go. My farm being agricultural I can build anything I want without permits, but if you build without permits it’s almost impossible to get a loan on the property if you go to sale it down the road. So it limits you to cash buyers. But if you pull permits you have an inspection process that it a headache.
