marsh man
Yesterday I popped out to a garden centre that is off the beaten track a bit , coming round the corner I could see the telegraph wires were full of Pigeons , made a quick stop like you do and I could see the field underneath the wires were Winter barley , Pigeons were going on and a few were coming off so the heads must now hold milky grain , this field is fairly big by our standards and have very little cover except a couple of Pylons where you can put a hide underneath , at one time I would have thought nothing about lugging all your gear to set up under the Pylon but nowadays I am looking where I can get my car close to where I intend to set up to save a lot of hard work ,but you younger and fitter blokes would have no problem , weather you take your dog is up to you as Barley can and do play havoc with the dogs paws and ears . so if you have got nothing going on any Peas you might have a few going on the Winter sown grain crops , it is certainly worth checking out your grain fields . GOOD LUCK . MM Edited June 19 by marsh man
