Accurate semi auto 22lr ammo to try or avoid??

Recommended Posts

Just got myself a new semi auto .22lr. SK S/A seem to work good in it but any other suggestions would be very welcome. It's custom built so will cycle subs just about but I'm interested in getting it to cycle more reliably and I have to travel for ammo so really trying to cut out on some of the leg work.

avoid anything by Remington as its filthy and inconsistent, blazer is cci budget ammo  and a pretty good round at the price to performance ration. i find most cci better than the federal counterpart in the range mini mag being especially good in semi autos.

ive found but if you really want accuracy eley tend to run the cleanest and most consistent in most guns from my experience especialy the higer end stuff  but are priced to reflect that.

like anything with a rifled barrel some perform better  than in others

me with my semi autos  the main aim is plinking and thundering away and blazer fits the bill for me aswell. if its bench rest or club/competition eley preferably sub sonic.

I have a S&W M+P 15/22 and it works well with Blazer ammunition.

I do use blazer, it's decent stuff but can be bit dirty I find and this is a more target orientated rifle.

Is it Eley Force that's their semi auto round. Forgot about that might give it a go, cleaner it runs the better as the bolts lightweight so won't push through crud well

My rifle is primarily a target (steel gongs etc) rifle. I have a CZ 452 for vermin control.
