Mungler
I was planning on shooting deer and then having my man servant from the commonwealth collect it like in the Tarzan movies. I was also planning to get around in a Sedan chair.

I saw a smashing off road rickshaw which would be just chipper for such adventures on those hill things
Mungler
Unfortunately you are not from the commonwealth and I would be looking to pay a lot less. However, if you would be prepared to answer to the name Man Friday and work a whole day for a magic sunshine maker (say a 2xAA torch) and promised not to eat me, then we could have a deal. fullbore
An argocat wouldnt be anygood where we used to go or on the open hill too heavy 4x4quad was the wepon of choice but it was hairy I have to beg to differ, I got rid of a new Kawasaki 4x4 quad to replace it with and argocat, my beat has a lot of high open hill. An argo will go anywhere a quad will go and then some, and a lot safer too, lower centre of gravity, 8 wheel drive and a 2.5 pound per square inch footprint, plus the deer ride in the machine lowdown not high up on racks making the centre of gravity very high on a quad. We used the quads on our land and have 3 argos between 6 of us I cant recommend them enough, and no I dont have any shares in the company ps the stuff for mossies is avon skin so soft Edited January 26, 2008 by fullbore

I am <relatively> fit, for my age anyway, and I walk up small hills most days, certaintly everyday through the lighter evenings. We tend to do a real big walking day in South Wales once or twice a year, normally 3 decent sized peaks. We normally stalk in Scotland for 2 days, but this year we are planning to do 4 days spread accross a weeks trip, and I am really concerned about my fitness and stamina. We use an argocat as well, but you can't motor up next to a pod of hinds and just pick them off It can be really painful as Winchester has said, but it is so much more to it than sitting in a high seat on the edge of a wood. I wish I had got into it earlier in life, and I am dreading the day I can't manage it any more. And before I forget, pigs like mountains as well - you have been warned
Flashman
My understanding was that we shoot from the top of an elephant howdah, for a couple of hours, until it's time for tiffin.
