Joe Manton
This is a genuine 'custom' gun which left the factory like it still is now, not a reworked A1 that was a popular practice in the 1980's. 28" barrels choked 1/4 and 1/2. Weight 7 1/2 pounds. Single trigger. Stock length 14 3/4" incorporating the Browing concealed chequered heel plate. Proper three piece fore-end. Signed by the engraver on the trigger plate. Extra fine chequering. It was purchased new in the late 1960s. It's had little use and is still in it's Browning motor case. If you ordered a similar gun new today it would cost upwards of 30k. £4750. ONO. Edited September 4 by Joe Manton More photos added.

Miroku Matt
It can’t be a 60’s gun as it doesn’t have the pin through the forend. Action shape is wrong too. I suspect 70’s but serial number will confirm. Lovely gun, who is the engraver?

I was told that it was ordered in the late 1960s but memories fade so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the 70s, I am no expert on such modern guns. Thank you for your comments. C. Pereido appears to be the signature of the engraver... but my eyesight is not what it was so I could stand to be corrected.
Miroku Matt
Perfido was a master engraver. The serial number will confirm the year. The style of the case actually says late 1980’s early 1990’s to me.
